Managed Workplace is now part of Barracuda Networks, Inc.   02/04/2019

Dear partners, We are pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement with Barracuda Networks, Inc., a trusted partner, and a leading provider for cloud-enabled security solutions, under which they have acquired the Managed Workplace business from Avast. In addition, Barracuda has become a master reseller of Avast Business CloudCare, Management Console, and Antivirus (hereinafter referred to as “Avast Security Solutions”). The transaction completed today, February 1, 2019. We are confident this change is poised for success. Barracuda has a proven 15-year history of providing innovative security and data protection for organizations worldwide. Managed Workplace is a strategic addition to Barracuda’s MSP division, combining a security-centric RMM platform with its existing security portfolio. We strongly believe that Barracuda will invest and continue to innovate the Managed Workplace offering, and we see this as the beginning of an important long-term partnership between our two organizations. Avast and Barracuda leadership are working hand in hand to ensure a smooth transition for our existing Managed Workplace Partners, as well as employees supporting them. Many of our Partners use both Managed Workplace and our Avast Security Solutions. Avast will continue to provide Avast Security Solutions to those Partners who ordered Managed Workplace and Avast Security Solutions as part of separate order forms. Barracuda, as a master reseller of Avast Business, will provide Avast Security Solutions to those Partners who ordered Managed Workplace and Avast Security Solutions as part of the same order forms. In order to promote a smooth transition of the business to Barracuda, Avast will continue to issue, and process, invoices relating to Managed Workplace for a month following completion of the transaction. As part of this transition, your contract may have transferred to a different legal entity.
